What is this thing called ARC (or even eARC) on my TV

  This is a topical subject for me as I’ve been battling with my Sonos Sound Bar and my Samsung TV to be able to connect Bluetooth headphones to the TV (or Soundbar) so that I can hear the TV properly whilst not blasting anyone else in the room out.
  
  So this article explains what ARC is and how you might be able to use it.
  
  It didn’t help me! I had to put a Smart Plug on the Soundbar to switch it off, so that I could get the audio + Bluetooth from the TV. Shame … but it’s not me that’s suffering 🙂

[12/12/24] Some of the Forums (or is that Fora) have been renamed to map onto Signal groups

[16/07/23] Creation of Apple pie (renamed Mac matters) and Android alert forums. Re-focus of Google gossip towards apps.

[15/01/23] Some of the Forums have been renamed, some Topics have been moved to be in new Forums under a Parent Forum, eg Hardware and Software. Hopefully this will make navigation, and finding a Topic easier, and also make it easier to find the right place to start a new Topic.

[28/04/20] It’s a good idea to provide Tags for your Topic, and also for your Replies – it helps you, and others, to find things.

[27/04/20] I like to check the Notifications box to get an email telling me when someone has replied to a Topic (or my Reply to a Topic) but you can’t reply to the email – you can only Reply in the Topic. It’s just a Notification.
