I am constantly finding myself amazed by just how useful AI can be. For instance. I have this houseplant. I inherited it from my mother 25 years ago. Thankfully it appears to thrive on neglect. Every Christmas it bursts into flower, showing lots of pretty red blooms. Sadly, these days it isn’t looking too good.
I gave a photograph of it to Chat GPT and asked its name.
It told me “Christmas cactus’ and then asked would I like some care advice?”
I answered “Yes” and it gave me a six step recovery plan.
Then it asked me, “Would you like me to also give you a rescue watering/fertiliser schedule for the next 2–3 months, tailored to bring it back into shape before winter?”
I answered “Yes” and it gave me a month by month guide for the next nine months.”
I’ll let you know how it gets on…..oh and next time you see me ask me what Chat GPT taught me about kangaroos.
