A member of the group has been experiencing the strangest of things. Vanishing files from folders that are still in place! Here was the only thing I could write to try and help …

… which seems to suggest that you might have dropped into an 
issue that is not unique. I wouldn’t recommend trying to solve 
this one yourself, but I would recommend you taking your machine 
(esp. if it’s a laptop) to the guy we show hardware problems to ...
We will fix your PC

Neil is really good and I’m sure he’ll give you good advice. 
Mention the u3a Computer Group.

[12/12/24] Some of the Forums (or is that Fora) have been renamed to map onto Signal groups

[16/07/23] Creation of Apple pie (renamed Mac matters) and Android alert forums. Re-focus of Google gossip towards apps.

[15/01/23] Some of the Forums have been renamed, some Topics have been moved to be in new Forums under a Parent Forum, eg Hardware and Software. Hopefully this will make navigation, and finding a Topic easier, and also make it easier to find the right place to start a new Topic.

[28/04/20] It’s a good idea to provide Tags for your Topic, and also for your Replies – it helps you, and others, to find things.

[27/04/20] I like to check the Notifications box to get an email telling me when someone has replied to a Topic (or my Reply to a Topic) but you can’t reply to the email – you can only Reply in the Topic. It’s just a Notification.
